Tasting Notes

Sight: The loose leaf of this tea looks very woodsy to me. Its colours range from beige, to green, to brown, all with cool undertones. The pieces are also all various shapes and sizes. Steeps a deep orange colour.

Smell: This tea smells herbal and spicy. The ginger stands out, but not so much as to overpower the scents of the rest of the ingredients. Once the tea has steeped, the different ingredients all blend together nicely to give the tea an herbal scent.

Taste: The licorice is what stands out most to me because it has a sweet flavour that coats your throat when you take a sip. There’s also a kick of spiciness from the black pepper. It’s a little difficult for me to pick out the mint or other flavours—I’m mostly getting the licorice and black pepper.

Rating:

⭐ ⭐

Considering its name, I would’ve expected this tea to be mintier. Flavour-wise though, if you like licorice than I’m sure you’ll like this tea. It has some amazing digestive health benefits too!
